Thumbly turns a description — and optionally a selfie — into thumbnails for YouTube, Shorts, Reels and TikTok.

Common questions

Do I need an account?

No. Thumbly has no sign-up, email or password. Your work is linked to your device by an anonymous identifier.

Is there a free version?

Browsing the template and style library is free. Generating thumbnails needs a subscription — weekly, monthly or yearly — and there is no free trial. Each generated variant spends one credit from your plan's allowance, and if a generation fails the credits are returned.

Do I have to upload a photo?

No. A photo is optional — you can generate thumbnails from a written description alone. If you do add one, we ask your permission first and explain exactly where it goes.

How do I manage or cancel my subscription?

Subscriptions are billed by Apple. Open the iOS Settings app, tap your name, then Subscriptions. You can also reach this from Settings inside Thumbly. If you reinstall or change device, use Restore Purchases.

How do I report content?

Tap the flag icon on any generated thumbnail, or open Settings and choose Report a Problem. You can also email us at the address above.

How do I delete my data?

Open Settings in the app and choose Delete My Data. This permanently erases your generated images, uploaded photos, history and settings. See the Privacy Policy for detail.
